Synopsis
It's springtime, and little Joska, along with his friends, embarks on a quest to find the end of the world. With curiosity, he observes the wonders of nature and eagerly awaits his father to bring his mother and their freshly born baby sister. Even though Joska had imagined his sister differently in his dreams, he welcomes his mother with a bouquet of primroses.

In the heat of summer, young Lenka crosses paths with thirty-year-old Jan. Jan has experienced disappointment before, but Lenka believes that life will grant her every wish.
Anděla
Aging Anděla works on her farm by herself. Only during the harvest does Michal help her every year; he loves her and wants to marry her. Anděla persistently refuses him. After the harvest, a sick Anděla has to go to the hospital. In the autumn, weakened, she returns home, but her attitude towards Michal and the agricultural cooperative remains unchanged. She continues to toil alone.
Maminka
Sixty-year-old teacher Hynková lives alone in the family villa. Her adult sons have their own lives and only visit their mother occasionally. Maminka falls ill and passes away. After the funeral, her sons walk through the winter garden and reminisce about their youth.
