Synopsis
Imagine a battle so ferocious that the advancing soldiers abandoned their weapons to bring aid to the enemy....
Clouds of Death - Bolimów 1915 is a feature-length documentary exploring a story that happened over 100 years ago, in the heart of modern Poland. It was near Bolimów that one of the darkest chapters in human history was written. It was here that the age of chemical weapons was born during the First World War. It was here that the first mass murder using battle gas took place.
The Battle of Bolimov changed the face of war and the world. In a bloody battle, the powers that had previously divided Poland between themselves and wiped it off the map of Europe clashed. Almost 100,000 people - soldiers and civilians - died. Among the victims were many Poles fighting on opposite sides of the front.
Impressive battle scenes and state-of-the-art production technology allow one to enter that world and understand the mechanism of evil. The only way to preserve humanity remains conscience.
