Synopsis
The head of the police academy, Major Václav Maisner, is a fan of American comedy films about police academies, and he decides to model his school after them. He prepares new curricula and forces his subordinates to act like the characters in his favorite movies. At the beginning of the school year, he welcomes new students. Then, the Deputy Minister of the Interior informs him that one of the new recruits is an FBI agent, and based on the agent's evaluation, the major will either be promoted or demoted. While Maisner tries to identify the agent, his deputies—burly Lieutenant Kuře and petite Lieutenant Hrubec—struggle to handle the training according to his curriculum. The situation becomes more complicated when pathologist Slavíček faints during a lesson after a corpse on the autopsy table grabs his hand. Although it was just a prank by Maisner, Slavíček ends up in an asylum. Later, he escapes and orchestrates a bank robbery where Lieutenant Kuře is withdrawing money for payroll.
