Synopsis
Seriál, directed by Jan Hřebejk, combines thriller elements with the tradition of Czech crime comedy. Sometimes, the scales of justice are so heavily burdened by corruption that the guilty walk away from court without punishment. The story, written by Janko Kroupa and Jan Drbohlav, introduces a group of vigilantes who push the gears of the metaphorical divine mills forward. As the famous spiritual song goes, "I'd like to be a miller, even if only for a moment!" When murderers, fraudsters, and violent offenders can't be convicted for their crimes, how can they be caught in their own traps? The answer lies in exposing their other weaknesses: their sense of superiority, impunity, untouchability, greed, and their willingness to try the same dirty tricks over and over again. The criminal plots are seasoned with humor and satire.
