In December 1970 on the Coast, the Polish military fired 46,000 shells of various calibres at demonstrating Poles. One of these bullets hit an 18-year-old who has gone down in legend....
This spectacular reconstruction of the dramatic events in Gdynia, which ended in a brutal pacification of the demonstrators by army and police units in 1970, is distinguished not only by its staging momentum and gripping action. It is worth noting the outstanding performances of Piotr Fronczewski as Zenon Kliszka and Wojciech Pszoniak as Władysław Gomułka, as well as the moving roles of Marta Honzatko, making her screen debut, and Michał Kowalski, known from "U Pana Boga za miedzą".
