Synopsis
Both hit Czech family comedies by director Marta Ferencova in one collection. In Birthday Wishes (2022), Liba - a mother, grandmother and above all the matriarch of the family - celebrates her milestone birthday, but a little white lie and an unexpected visit set off a chain of unpredictable events that turn the celebration into a wild ride. In Birthday Wishes 2: Christening (2026), preparations for a christening at Liba and Arnost's home are meant to follow Liba's detailed plan - including the choice of the baby's name - but nothing goes as expected: secret name swaps, a detective hunt for lost keys, mix-ups in a jewellery shop and a saleswoman who has lost her memory spin the whole family into chaos full of humour and unexpected revelations.
