Synopsis
Beware is the first Slovak post-World War II feature film that tells the story of Ondrej Muranica (Palo Bielik), a young man who emigrates to the United States to make a better life for his family. However, his dreams are shattered by a mining accident that causes him to lose his memory. When he regains his memory, he returns to Slovakia only to find that his wife (Jiřina Štěpničková) has married his best friend. This film, which was made in 1946, is a Slovak-Czech collaboration and represents an early attempt to establish Slovak film.
