Autumn Spring / Babi leto Remastered Blu-Ray
Synopsis
A tragicomic story of a youthful 75-year-old dreamer, joker, and eternal optimist (Vlastimil Brodský), who refuses to accept the passive role of old age unlike his loving yet worried wife (Stella Zázvorková). While she is grounded in reality, he embraces each day as an exciting new adventure. Together with his devoted friend from the operetta stage, he brings theatrical roles to life, fulfilling the dreams he never realized. He appears as a retired member of the Metropolitan Operetta, a castle buyer, an inspector, a mountaineer, and a benevolent soul.
In a series of humorous and touching situations—filled with gentle and dark humor—he battles his wife for the freedom to live carefree and independently. Through it all, he shows again and again what it truly means to live life as an art.
This heartwarming film about friendship, love, and never giving up is dedicated to Vlastimil Brodský.
