Synopsis
In South Africa in 1976, Afrikaner teacher Ben du Toit learns that his friend Gordon Ngubene died after police torture, despite the death being ruled a suicide. He hires lawyer Ian McKenzie to represent Gordon’s family, but the court ignores the evidence and clears the police. Refusing to give up, Ben challenges a racist system where taking the wrong side can cost him his life.
