Description
This five-movement duet for glockenspiel and guitar adds to the chamber repertoire with less usual instrumental combinations. Each movement has a distinct character in both rhythmic form and stylistic content. Two mallets are sufficient for playing the glockenspiel, and its part is technically intended for intermediate players. The guitar part is designed at a similar level of difficulty. The composer hopes the duet will interest players of these instruments enough to find a place in concert programmes, where its new sound colours may delight music enthusiasts and listeners.
