Description
This Czech-language first volume of a school for playing melodic percussion instruments contains two basic chapters, devoted to the orchestral glockenspiel and the xylophone. The études begin with simple exercises to introduce the instruments and playing techniques gradually. Difficulty increases very slowly, and the tempos are either optional or recommended when accompanied. Each chapter ends with a piece for the instrument accompanied by piano. Practice models for scales and chords appear at the end of the publication. The appendix includes piano parts for two performance pieces and a selection of études with chord symbols, which can be accompanied not only by piano but also by another instrument, such as guitar or harp.
