Description
This fourth collection of quartets presents four additional compositions, numbered 13–16, for four percussion players. The quartets are intended for teaching chamber music and for performance at school or other events. Rather than experimenting with new sounds, introducing exotic instruments or using difficult-to-read notation, the pieces aim to create clear, accessible music with standard percussion instruments while highlighting their rhythmic and melodic independence. Each quartet lasts between five and seven minutes. The instruments used include xylophone, glockenspiel, vibraphone, drum kit, bongos, wood blocks, kr. bells, triangle and bass drum.
