Description
Hester Prynne awaits in Boston for the arrival of her husband, the doctor Roger Chillingworth, from England. During the wait, an uncontrollable passionate love affair develops between Hester and Reverend Dimmesdale, the pastor of the community, resulting in the birth of Pearl, an undeniable proof of Hester's betrayal. For this, the Boston community condemns her to moral solitude, forcing her to wear the letter A embroidered on her chest as a symbol of her status as an adulteress.
