The Basic Grammar of the Spanish Student (GBE) is recognized as the most important teaching grammar of the last 25 years: a fundamental work that embodies the innovative perspective of cognitive grammar in its activities and explanations.

This revised new edition of the GBE published in 2021 is the result of a process of improvement, adaptation, updating, and correction of multiple aspects:

The correspondence of the activities to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference has been reviewed and adjusted, as well as to the curriculum plan of the Instituto Cervantes.

Level B2 has been included in a series of topics and activities, and double labels (A1-A2; A2-B1; B1-B2) are used to mark the transversality of certain topics that can be worked on at more than one level.
