Description
The day after the final scene of the movie Heat, Chris Shiherlis (Val Kilmer) is hiding in Koreatown with Nate (Jon Voight). He is injured, half-conscious, and needs to get out of Los Angeles. He is being pursued by Los Angeles police detective Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino), who just hours earlier killed Shiherlis's partner Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) during a shootout under the approach lights at the Los Angeles airport runway. Hanna is now determined to catch Shiherlis, the last surviving member of McCauley's crew, before he disappears from the city. In 1988, seven years earlier, McCauley, Shiherlis, Cerrito, and their team of professionals are robbing on the West Coast, in Chicago, and at the U.S.-Mexico border, where they manage to steal over twelve million dollars from a Mexican drug cartel. On the other side of the law is detective Vincent Hanna from the Chicago homicide department – a man who is so devoted to his profession that he has sacrificed his personal life for it.
