Description
A post-apocalyptic novel about the fact that life is not just about survival... More than a hundred years ago, the world began to change. Ocean and sea levels rose, water slowly flooded coastal cities, until a monstrous flood left only small archipelagos of the highest mountain peaks surrounded by deep and endless water. Survivors banded together to form new societies or sailed alone on their small boats, trying to save their bare lives. One of them is Myra, who sails on a ship with seven-year-old Pearl, searching for her firstborn daughter Row, who was kidnapped by her father just before their home in Nebraska was submerged. Seven years later, Myra desperately searches for her, as she feels in her heart that Row is still alive. When she learns that the girl has been spotted in one of the pirate camps far on the northern coast that was once Greenland, she does not hesitate and sets off with Pearl on a dangerous and risky journey. However, intrigue, greed, and betrayal threaten their efforts to find Row and plunge them into danger. Myra faces the decision of whether saving her older daughter is worth risking Pearl's life and the lives of the friends who are helping them...
