An unknown asteroid is hurtling towards Earth at an enormous speed. A rock the size of a football stadium is predicted to hit Antarctica and shatter it into pieces. The inhabitants are preparing for a global catastrophe. Panic reigns in the streets as everyone stocks up and seeks shelter from the disaster. Just before the fateful impact, however, something unprecedented happens. On this day, everything changes fundamentally. Life on the planet looks completely different; Earthlings are dominated by what is called the Age of Apathy. People devote all their attention to groundbreaking devices from the brand Octopus. This mysterious company releases new games and addictive applications every day, wrapping customers around its finger. The company's operations are managed by robots under the guidance of Planetary Security, a government institution that has turned the world upside down. It has established free state Wi-Fi, distributed phones to all citizens, but at the same time completely banned books and rewritten school curricula. Students learn in school that throwing plastics into the oceans is beneficial for nature. The only ones standing against this nonsense are the environmentally focused Resistance fighters.
