Nářek ženy – Hlubinková Kožmínová Ivana (2026)

This is a story of love, loss and the courage to face what we all fear most: death. Venda and Hynek live a happy married life until their joy is shattered by a devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Ten months of hope, pain, faith and helplessness follow, ending with Hynek’s death and Venda being left alone with her grief. Just as she seems to be finding her way back into life with the help of those close to her, another cruel blow arrives. Venda’s fate intertwines with the story of Lenka, a hospice nurse whose mission is to accompany the dying and their families with humanity and compassion. Through the true and painful stories of people unable to come to terms with death, the book raises questions about the meaning of suffering, fear, love and responsibility towards those who remain. This sensitive, deeply human narrative recalls that death is an inseparable part of life and that its burden is often heavier for the bereaved than for those who depart. The contents are in Czech.
