Description
At the foot of Mount Vítkov, three players meet – Zemek, Katka, and Lišák, who received an invitation to an unusual game around the city. The Prague district of Žižkov, full of pawnshops and shadows of the past, plays with them like a cat with a mouse. And the game is definitely not played by the rules! A mysterious doorman guards the entrance, Čohana causes a mass accident just to stop the tram, and Sokol recruits for battle. Unreliable guides unsettle the heroes so much that on their way to the top, they begin to doubt their sanity. Have they fallen into another reality? On a hot July day, just like the Hussites once did at Vítkov, they try to stand their ground in a hopeless situation. This brisk contemporary story, complemented by a search for a one-eyed warlord, allows readers to glimpse into the turbulent times at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries.
