Transcarpathia is the westernmost part of Ukraine and a region that, due to its shared history within Czechoslovakia, remains connected to the fates of many Czechs. However, the ties between the inhabitants of Transcarpathia and the Czechs and Moravians are much deeper, reaching back to Great Moravia.
