Description
It is the year 1984. Kristýna is a housewife and an actress at a community theater with big dreams. Her parents were opponents of the then regime, which impacts the entire family. This blemish on Kristýna's profile forces her to comply, and with reluctance, she starts a new job. There, however, she meets someone who offers her freedom and the possibility of a quiet revolt against the hated regime. Will Kristýna choose safety and peace, or love and rebellion in the arms of another? ***** Don't Blame God is a collection of short stories that intertwine with a fundamental question: How far are we willing to go to defend our loved ones and ourselves? Each story is set in a different country, and the main characters come from various social strata – and they respond to the resulting conflicts and societal problems accordingly. The center of the action is Kristýna, around whom not only her story but also others unfold. They reveal the limits of human existence and forgiveness.
