Description
Nela Moravcová was a photographer, painter, and a brave, persistent, and complicated woman. Most of the public got to know her primarily due to her openness in discussing the horrific assault and rape she survived in her own home, and the impact this experience had on her mental health. Alongside a number of awareness projects and media appearances, she also planned to write a book, which she unfortunately did not manage to complete. Till the End is this autobiography, supplemented with Nela's work and memories from her loved ones.
Nela spoke publicly about how the terrible events she survived affected her mental health. The book portrays a person full of contradictions, capable of both relentless self-improvement and self-destruction. Nela's fate was significantly influenced by the lack of long-term professional care. Its consequences can easily be found in this book. However, we also find a celebration of normal, everyday life, which Nela longed for so much. Every outing with friends, every coffee shop visit was a hard-fought victory for her, from which she derived deep joy.
The book is an original text by Nela Moravcová. It is a mosaic of autobiography, diary entries, drawings, photos, and paintings. The book also includes memories of Nela's...
