Description
The scripts serve as a guide for jazz improvisation. They represent a summary of improvisational techniques based on bebop, hard bop, and modern jazz inspired by giants such as John Coltrane, Michael Brecker, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Jerry Bergonzi, and others. Regarding the concept of this study material, it is structured so that the descriptive part with many examples is immediately followed by a set of exercises, through which players can solidify their mastery of the given improvisational method and generally improve their playing skills. Most exercises from this material are within the range of the saxophone or slightly above the usual range; however, they are not intended solely for the saxophone but also for other melodic musical instruments.
