Černá vdova – Harasimová Markéta (2019)

A psychological thriller on the theme of domestic violence. Fashion designer Edita has been living alone with her dog since the death of her first husband and gradually begins to feel the accelerated ticking of her biological clock. Her fate is fundamentally changed by a meeting with the charismatic Ondřej, whom she falls head over heels in love with. The young woman accepts a marriage proposal and believes that her long-awaited child will finally come. However, a harsh awakening awaits her. Shortly after the wedding, her partner turns out to be an aggressive abuser who does not shy away from any cruelty. Filled with humiliation and shame, Edita carefully hides the domestic violence from everyone and desperately seeks a way out of the vicious circle. As a businesswoman, she is self-sufficient and successful, but in private, under the influence of systematic abuse, she transforms into a submissive and frightened being. At one point, she finds the strength to resist, but her attempt to escape Ondřej's dominance does not go as planned. A tragic confrontation occurs, and Edita kills her husband. However, the nightmare does not end, and paradoxically, the real fight for her life begins now... Why didn't she confide in someone?
