This book traces the history of big beat and rock music in western Bohemia. Covering rock bands and musical life throughout the former West Bohemian Region from 1960 to 2000, it focuses on the stories and recollections of those who were there. It introduces both well-known groups and acts that have long been forgotten, combining interviews with their members with thorough research in archives and private collections. It recalls important venues, events and behind-the-scenes figures, presenting a piece of the history of the Czech West during the final decades of the twentieth century and a piece of the youth of many readers.
