Description
The title is a contradiction in itself. It essentially summarizes the life situations that each of us goes through. Our actions and plans always collide with the fact that we do not live on a deserted island, but are surrounded by a multitude of people who are also trying their best to realize their intentions. Inevitably, this leads to small victories, disappointments, and even minor disasters. This collection of humorous stories is a diary of events that bring us back down to earth from our soaring ambitions. Despite all feelings of triumph, injustice, or shame, it is precisely our small personal dramas that guide us through life and shape us into the people we truly are. The author, Josef Harvan (1947), a film director and documentarian, is a graduate of film and television directing at Prague's FAMU under Professor Otakar Vávra. His work is characterized by the ability to find interesting themes and articulate them. He has produced over 350 titles ranging from a few minutes to an hour long (some are available on YouTube). His documentaries cover topics from aviation to significant personalities in various fields, the history of film and photography, mental health, and progressive methods in medicine. Among his well-known works is the TV documentary series with guide Václav Cílek 'Underground Bohemia'...
