Vůně noci – Harasimová Markéta (2018)

A psychological thriller with a detective plot set in the medical field. Young doctor Vanda is at the top of her game in neurosurgery, but her personal life lags behind her shining career. At the beginning of the story, she faces a heavy life loss - under tragic circumstances, she loses her sister. Vanda's twin, Vilma, along with her entire family, is cold-bloodedly shot by an unknown murderer who leaves no trace behind. Major Hons and his team work with several investigative theories, and gradually more suspects come into the detectives' sights. However, it is not at all certain whether they are focusing on the right people: they still cannot grasp the perpetrator's motive. Meanwhile, the murderer is not idle - he is weaving further deadly plans... Despite the difficult circumstances, two men begin to take an interest in the young doctor, who has recently ended an unpromising relationship. However, the current constellation does not favor love. Vanda has completely different worries: by the hand of fate, she finds herself in a situation where she must face the dilemma of whether it would be better to take justice into her own hands. Will the heroine maintain her human and medical honor, or will she choose to avenge her beloved family at the cost of losing her own future?
