Komiksová Kytice – Erben Karel Jaromír (2016)

The comic book Kytice is a visual adaptation of the famous collection of poems by Karel Jaromír Erben, bringing this classic in a new, horror form. It is the first project from the Czech Grimm workshop, which offers not only a comic adaptation of Kytice but also a manual for reading and understanding its deep symbolism. The publication contains 11 comic adaptations of individual ballads, each illustrated by a different artist, ensuring a variety of styles and interpretations. We present to you Kytice as the world has never seen it – without the Lily, but with Midsummer Night, with the ballads arranged according to the original author's intention. The collected work is enriched with an interpretation of the symbolism by Doc. Jan Kajfosz, CSc.
