The book is a collection of essays on the basic themes of Christian faith in the areas of doctrine, biblical studies, morality, liturgy, and the liturgical year, as well as spiritual life. The author did not intend his work to be a systematic manual but rather as prompts for reflection. Faith is faith, but it is necessary for a person to also use it as a light for their reason and everyday life. Father František managed to write a book that summarizes what is essential for the orientation and formation of serious seekers of a good and deep Christian life in the ordinary conditions of daily life. The book can be categorized as a catechism, points for contemplation, catechetical lessons, psychological reflections on faith topics, healthy contemporary apologetics, but also as a personal confession of a faithful and honest priest.
