Čas Robinsonů – O'Toole Pavlína (2015)

When young wife and mother Petra Tomanová moved from the Czech Republic to America at the beginning of the 1990s, she brought with her her own dream - to get an education, start a business, and secure the best future for her children. A few years later, she earns money for an expensive and demanding degree by cleaning the homes of wealthy Americans, studying for exams at night, taking care of her children and household, and struggling with all her might to achieve her original dream. At the same time, she is burdened by the dominant and violent behavior of her husband Richard, which binds her and pulls her back, but she keeps postponing the solution to this problem. The whole family thus lives under constant pressure of fear and anxiety about the future. One day, however, circumstances change dramatically, and Petra is forced to act to avoid losing everything, including her children and her own life.
