Can Islam, a religion over 1400 years old, be associated with violence? Is Islam the source of contemporary terrorism, which some hesitate to call Islamic, just as they refuse to label the Islamic State as such? Some passages of the Quran are mild and do not incite violence, while others demand the enslavement and killing of non-believers; however, the Bible itself contains violent stories and has also been associated with bloody periods in Christianity. So, is Islam different from Christianity? And what about the Quran and the Bible?
