The Bee People is the second book in the action fantasy series Eight Worlds by young Czech author Marcela Remeňová. In her story, we once again meet Lea Layerová, who, right after surviving her own death, teleports with her family and the mysterious Lara to the distant Eight Worlds, where they all find themselves in a war between the Eight Worlders and mysterious insect creatures. Strange dreams and an unexpected encounter with a cruel bee man hint to Lea that the causes and solutions of the war lie with the ancient creators of the potens. Lea, who longs to discover who she really is, leaves her loved ones and ventures into the hands of the bee queen Enora. However, she cannot avoid the battle of her emotions and grapples not only with her relationship with agent Ben but also with the hired assassin Harry, who, while trying to stay as far away as possible from all the events surrounding the Layers and building a career as a hitman in the harsh mafia environment on Earth, is ultimately forced by unforeseen circumstances to move to the Eight Worlds, where he will meet Lea, the bee people, and his long-forgotten past.
