Lesbianka - Zpověď lesby – Fraithová Niki (2015)

In her autobiographical book, the author offers an unusually honest and open look into an exceptional part of the female world, which is often still the subject of speculation and legend today. A world that evokes distrust and suspicion in many, yet is alluring and exciting for others because it remains unknown. Niki recounts her realizations, describes her experiences in extraordinary detail, her encounters with Prague's lesbian and gay celebrities, and confides in us about her troubles and her love for a woman she truly loves deeply. However, nothing is simple; she must overcome obstacles, even finding herself in a nightclub in Sardinia, where she succumbs to further temptations. A small excerpt: Countless days when I looked forward to her and imagined this moment, and suddenly there was a vacuum, emptiness... If only we had thrown ourselves at each other right in the hallway, if I hadn't dragged it out... The original impatience was gone. We should have made love right on the carpet and fully, but that half-hour break, those damn conventions threw me off, and suddenly I felt like an empty, forgotten freight car at the end of the station.
