ONE:LOVE – Leitmeritz Radka

The book of portrait photographs of the most famous women in Czech tennis history was created between 2018 and 2022. In front of the camera of the author of Czech origin Radka Leitmeritz, who lives in California, nine prominent sports personalities often appeared in unusual settings: Martina Navrátilová, Hana Mandlíková, Helena Suková, Barbora Strýcová, Petra Kvitová, Karolína Plíšková, Barbora Krejčíková, Karolína Muchová, and the current Wimbledon singles champion Markéta Vondroušová. The publication is framed by photographs of places associated with tennis – courts and old clubhouses, as well as personal insights from current and former tennis professionals on the theme of love for the game, for loved ones, for life, at first glance... There is also a confession from a passionate tennis amateur – actress Zuzana Švábová from the National Theatre, and a text by Marek Gregor, who has long been associated with the magazine Reflex, outlining half a century of successes in women's tennis in the Czechoslovak and later Czech context of two generations significantly influenced by the times. The visual design of the book was prepared by the editor-in-chief of the Czech edition of Vogue, Danica Kovářová, and graphic designer Marek Pistora.
