Description
Public attitudes and opinions of Associate Professor Martin Konvička from the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice evoke both positive and negative, even hateful reactions towards him. Following the example of Reflex magazine editor J. X. Doležal, the professor is not afraid to publicly express his views on controversial topics such as sex, drugs, and feminism. However, his opinions on the issue of Islam and the Islamization of the Czech Republic, and by extension Europe, provoke the most passion. In his book Sex, Drugs, and Islam, Professor Konvička reflects not only on why many Czechs convert to Islam and how their conversions relate to sexuality, but also on why biologists seem to understand Islam better than many Orientalists and Islamologists. Konvička's views on the legalization of soft drugs, his criticism of political correctness, and that part of feminism that supports Islam make him an exception in an environment increasingly constrained by multicultural propaganda and censorship of free speech. Although he himself is a multiculturalist, ecologist, and supporter of nature conservation, Professor Konvička does not hesitate to criticize the appeasement of today's Green Party and multiculturalists towards Islam and its spread in Europe and the Czech Republic.
