The graphic novel MIKE'S PLACE is an original portrayal and account of a real tragic event from April 30, 2003, which changed many lives. The authors and main characters of the story used the format of a graphic novel - a comic. They took advantage of the fact that the described event was initially captured by an authentic camera, which led to the successful documentary Blues by the Beach, as well as information from the subsequent investigation of the entire event, which helped clarify the cause of the senseless terrorist act. One of the authors is an independent New York filmmaker and producer, while the other is a documentary filmmaker and cameraman. Together with a renowned illustrator and cartoonist, they created a work that straddles the line between film and comic with a profound story. Following its American premiere, the comic Mike's Place, which describes the story of the bar of the same name, is being released in Czech translation. Mike's Place in Tel Aviv was known as an oasis of live music and a multicultural friendly atmosphere, where a terrorist attack occurred, leaving three dead and fifty injured.
