Description
The book tells the story of a nun who became acquainted with the teachings of Martin Luther and left the convent. She entered the circle of Martin Luther's friends, where she met the reformer, and after some time, they married. The author vividly describes the family life of the reformer Luther, where she amicably explains the foundations of Martin Luther's reformative teachings. The readers are also briefly introduced to life in a women's convent at that time. Martin Luther worked in Wittenberg, Germany, where a significant German painter and friend of the reformer, Lucas Cranach, lived during his lifetime, who was also the mayor of the city at one time. Luther and Cranach lived in close friendship, and the author, while depicting the mutual gatherings of the families, skillfully and very popularly introduces the readers to the creation and painting technique of the Master's artwork.
