Description
Ján Matejka currently serves as the head of the private law department and deputy director of the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where he focuses primarily on issues related to new technologies. As an educator, he teaches at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno, and the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. Ján Matejka is also a member of the editorial boards of legal and law-oriented journals, such as Právník, Všehrd, Revue for Law and Technology, DSM, and ITpravo.cz. In 2009, he was awarded the Otto Wichterle Prize by the president of the Academy of Sciences, which is granted to exceptionally qualified and promising scientific workers of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Ján Matejka is the author of over 100 professional and popularizing works. He also works as an independent lawyer.
