The interview between Lama Ole Nydahl and German journalist Dirk Grosser took several months. The result is a deep dive into the history and present of Diamond Way Buddhism, as well as a reflection on Western values and culture. Lama Ole shares his forty years of experience as a Buddhist teacher and explains why he considers the search for, and especially the finding of, freedom and independence to be the most important thing in human life. He shows that the wealth of Buddhism and life do not exclude each other, and that living a happy life for others is not only meaningful but also enjoyable. Everyone can build on Western values and utilize timeless wisdom from the East. However, this cannot be done without commitment and hard work. Lama Ole summarizes it this way: 'I would always advise everyone: Think! Be honest with yourself! Use your freedom and find something that makes sense to you!'
