Čítanka k literatuře 2 - přehled SŠ učiva – Kostková Markéta (2006)

All four volumes of the readers are similarly divided into 21 thematic areas in accordance with the textbook LITERATURE - Overview of Secondary School Curriculum (except for the chapter Basics of Literary Theory, which is included only in the literature textbook), which chronologically maps the development of world and Czech literature from its beginnings to the present day. From each presented literary work, two separate excerpts are included, the first being longer in length, so that the reader can get accustomed to the work and its characteristics, familiarize themselves with it, and become aware of certain peculiarities of the author's style. The subsequent block of questions about the text (and possible topics for reflection) will certainly help teachers enliven their lessons, while students can refresh their knowledge and verify whether they have indeed read the text attentively. Students may encounter similar questions during university entrance exams, as it is necessary to understand the context of a literary work and be able to place it within the general cultural and historical development. The second excerpt is always shorter and aims to clearly highlight phenomena that are worth noticing while reading - these are examples from the thematic, linguistic, and compositional levels of the work.
