Description
The book 'Ad honorem Igor Vejsada' offers a threefold perspective on the personality and artistic work of the Czech dancer, choreographer, and educator, for whom dance is a way to express his relationship to life, the world, art – and God. He began in Brno, where he not only acquired the foundations of dance art but also achieved his first – and significant – successes in this first engagement, whether it was participating in domestic and international dance competitions, performing major roles on the domestic stage, or engagements with the Györy Ballet in Hungary and especially with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel. Everything he gained could then be applied as the artistic director of the ballet at the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre in Ostrava. In 2016, he moved to a new position in Prague. The authors aimed to capture the life journey of the artist and the creative contribution he brought to the ballet stage, but above all, to seek that invisible fraction, whose common denominator is the human soul.
