Description
Many fairy tales are the key that can change reality. The beautiful stories of Roland Kübler, which have been published in the German original in 27 editions, are proof of this. Stories full of wisdom and spirit are intended not only for adults but also for older children. This unique book, which won the Deutscher Märchenpreis in 1993, resembles the Oriental tradition of storytelling with a tale within a tale. The old storyteller Oyano returns to his hometown by the sea with his student Gwen. However, much has changed in the city during his absence. The city has become poorer, even though the wealth and possessions of its inhabitants have grown. The ruler of the city is preparing for war... With the help of a mysterious moonstone, Oyano begins to tell his tales. However, these are not short entertaining stories meant to bring forgetfulness to people, but stories in which they can find themselves... The book is accompanied by beautiful colorful illustrations by Juraj Vitko, and its extraordinary design was created by one of the most significant Slovak typographers and holder of many awards, Ľubomír Krátky. The publication was translated into Czech by Andrej Rády and is released in a luxurious TERRA edition.
