Vysoké Tatry fotoobjektívom Karola Divalda / The High Tatras - Through the Photo Lens of Karol Divald (slovensky, anglicky) – Potočná Eva (2021)

The photographs from the estate of Karol Divald are today owned by several galleries and museums in France, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. The photographs published in this book were released in 1887 and were provided to us by the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava. The original photographs, measuring 15.6 x 11.8 cm, were mounted on cardboard measuring 30.6 x 23.7 cm. Below each image is a description of the photograph presented in two languages – Hungarian and German – along with the reserved rights for reproduction and the photographer's name. The photographs were placed in a decorative case made of thick cardboard covered with red bookbinding cloth, on which the title in Hungarian and German is embossed in gold lettering: A Magas Tátrából / Die Hohe Tatra, Ung. Karpathenverein (Hungarian Carpathian Society). The case contained 30 photographs. Its dimensions were: height 26.0 cm, width 33.2 cm, depth 4.5 cm. The title page in two languages contains the name of the album and the name of the photographer. Numerous awards received by the photographer at various exhibitions since 1869 are also published here.
