This is not a "biography" of the coming-of-age of an energetic boy through the eighteenth year of his life, but a respectful mound to an era and a way of life that is slowly, yet heroically and proudly bidding farewell. I believe it is good to occasionally look back, to find connections, the roots of failures and successes, so that both an individual and a nation can correct their actions for a brighter tomorrow. I will remind you of the safety of grandma's quilt, milk snacks, potato brigades, the sound of hockey sticks hitting asphalt, the Merkur construction set, C-64s, the Rubik's Cube and Tamagotchi, Christ, China, "jeans", fizzy drinks for a few pennies, Vitana that cooked for us, Pedro chewing gum and bubble Bajo, "cocoa" breakfasts, Russian ice cream, fruit pits, Lybar sprays and firecrackers thrown into the fire, nails laid on the tracks, overcrowded amphitheaters even at Romanian films, jostling in buses, mega-long lines for oranges, Inspector Derrick, the arrival of Tetris, cassette tapes, the emergence of bands like Citron, Tublatanka, Arakain, Oceán, or Monterosa, the exhausting hunt for music by buying records at the forbidden market in Ostrava's Černá louka, grumpy cops jumping out of yellow-white Ladas with the inscription VB, "secret agents" throwing young people out of schools for songs by Karel Kryl,…
