The second volume of Hirax’s guide to happiness focuses on self-observation as a way of understanding and cleansing oneself, recognising connections in the things that keep recurring, beginning an inner dialogue, and getting rid of harmful habits and mental programmes. Baričák considers why people do not achieve what they long for and how to hasten an intention through sacrifice and humility. He emphasises the importance of gratitude, self-forgiveness, putting an end to excessive apologising and self-blame, and learning from pain and life’s lessons. The book addresses the consequences of gossip and envy, the origins of illness, hidden feelings of guilt and their trail of pain, as well as the model and emergence of the victim, the quiet energy vampire, the causes of low self-esteem and the birth of fears, the aggressive energy vampire and the emergence of obsessive love. In the chapters on relationships, Baričák focuses on the importance of communication, eliminating disputes and arguments, and understanding why people attract a “bad” partner. The book aims to provide positive motivation for embarking on a path of personal transformation and dissolving emotional pain. It explores such subjects as finding one’s path, accelerating an intention through sacrifice and humility, gratitude, self-observation, rituals involving the elements, gossip, envy, thoughts that can hurt or heal, the ego, victimhood, low self-esteem, fears, energy vampires, obsessive love, hidden guilt, children and their daily portion of love, eliminating disputes and arguments, communication, the origins of illness, inner dialogue as a path to happiness, childhood illnesses, overweight and weight loss.
