Oloncho about the Swift Bootur Ňurgun is the most famous and artistically highest quality representative of the oloncha genre. Oloncha is a general term for spiritually heroic epic compositions of the Siberian Yakuts, providing valuable insights into their past, religious beliefs, shamanism, and life philosophy; the tradition of composing and narrating oloncha was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list in 2005. It is an extensive epic composition containing numerous myths and legends about ancient warriors, demons, deities, and animals, perfectly reflecting the Yakut view of the world and of humanity, which is not separated from the overall framework of nature.
