Čítanka pro 8. ročník, Čtení s porozuměním – Janáčková Zita (2025)

This reading book is designed for teaching in accordance with the requirements of the 2024 Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. As in the previous readers, the selected texts are arranged in thematic chapters. The first part traces the development of literature from antiquity to the First World War and includes excerpts from key works of Czech and world literature. The second part contains texts related to the geography curriculum, in the chapter The Czech Lands – My Home. Further chapters present texts from popular literary genres, including fantasy, literature for teenagers and humorous literature. The excerpts are chosen to be engaging and accessible for pupils, and each text is accompanied by questions that develop reading literacy, with the selection left to the teacher. The extracts are supplemented in places by explanations of basic literary movements and genres, as well as profiles of selected writers. These additions are for information only and are not intended to be memorised. The reader has been updated with questions and tasks supporting the key competences and cross-curricular themes included in the 2024 Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education.
