This textbook is published as part of a modern series from the Reading with Understanding edition. It has been revised in accordance with the RVP ZV 2023, and is thus supplemented especially with the topic of Money and Property.

It contains interdisciplinary relationships, cross-cutting themes, and group tasks. The text includes engaging excerpts from beautiful literature related to the material being studied. These are supplemented with questions to support reading literacy. The textbook is enlivened by dialogues between two children – Vlasta and Vlastík.
