Description
Children with autism (but not only them) often have deficits in the social area. They are unsure how to behave in certain situations, for example, how to cope with emotions of anger or sadness in a socially acceptable way. One way to show children these situations and explain how to teach them to behave correctly is through short stories. The visual format supports reliable and meaningful communication between parents, educators, caregivers, and people with autism of all ages.
This set of 30 picture cards includes situations such as "What to do when I am disappointed, angry, or unhappy" and "What to do when I am angry at someone." The main character, Petr, who is already in school and can be recognized by his red shirt, appears in these scenarios. The cards can be used to practice socially acceptable responses to the given emotions.
