Few remain indifferent: many admire him endlessly, while others nearly condemn him. The one thing almost everyone agrees on is that he is a God-given songwriter and poet. So who is Nohavica? And what kind of person is he really? Is he a rebel, a hero, or a villain or coward who has sold his soul to the devil? The book simply titled Nohavica, which attempts to answer these and many other questions, is unique in that Přemysl Houda had access to Nohavica's private archive consisting of diaries, notebooks, personal records, correspondence, and many other documents of a personal nature that Nohavica has not yet made available to anyone. In addition to this unique collection of ego-documents, the author also utilized public archives, including the Archive of Security Forces managing the documents of the State Security, state regional archives, as well as, for example, the fund of the Socialist Union of Youth or the fund of the Prague Cultural Center and many others. A valuable source of information for the author was also dozens of interviews with people who played a significant role in Nohavica's career and public appearances, whether they were concert organizers and promoters, officials, colleagues, or ordinary listeners.
